That's what U.S. U-17 midfielder Lauren Kaskie and Midge Purce did. Sure, their sweet 17th on Sept. 18 was a bit unusual and a tad tiring, but while traveling from the USA's pre-tournament training camp to the host country for the U-17 Women's World Cup, they got to hear their teammates sing Happy Birthday in Cyprus, Austria and Azerbaijan, a feat perhaps never before achieved by any U.S. soccer player (ok, anyone at all).
So, Happy Birthday, Lauren and Midge! And the cakes they got at team dinner were quite impressive as well.
Let them eat cake...[/FONT]
