All four Group D coaches came together for a press conference today at the Hiroshima Big Arch Stadium to dicuss tomorrow's second match day of the group.
Usually, most coaches are loathe to give any real answers when other coaches are around, but the four gaffers answered a some questions honestly and earnestly and set the stage for tomorrow's big match in which China and Ghana need results to stay in the tournament.
Said U.S. head coach Steve Swanson on China:
"China came out to the U.S. a few months ago and we played them twice. I respect the way they play. They are very technical and very organized and I think we'll have to play our best to beat them. Tactically, they understand the game well and they are difficult to break down. We'll have to play very well to get a result."
Said China head coach Yin Tiesheng on the USA:
"The U.S. team is very good. We played them two months ago and we understand the level. Perhaps the USA is at a higher level than us, but we will do our best."
