  • Jermaine Jones (mild concussion) and Grahame Zusi (suspension) are unavailable fo Tuesday’s match.
  • Both Herculez Gomez and Danny Wiliams have left camp to continue individual fitness work.
  • Seven players are carrying yellow cards into the game against Panama: DaMarcus Beasley, Michael Bradley, Matt Besler, Brad Davis, Clint Dempsey, Brad Evans and Fabian Johnson.Their next caution will result in a one-match suspension.
  • Against Jamaica, Brad Evans scored his first career goal for the National Team in dramatic fashion, netting the game-winner in the second minute of second-half stoppage time.
  • "It's pure elation after the goal for sure, especially doing it front of our fans [at that end of the stadium],” Evans said. “It's a great feeling and I'm happy for the team that we got three points."
  • Now with 10 caps, he made his first ever start at right back when joined the starting XI against Germany. Coincidentally, when he earned his first cap with the MNT against Grenada on July 4, 2009 in Gold Cup, he entered as a substitute at that position.
  • Jozy Altidore netted his seventh career goal in qualifying to open the scoring, marking his first in a qualifier since Sept, 5, 2009, a string of 12 matches.
  • It was his second goal in as many games, and put to bed another streak. When he whipped in a wicked side-volley for the opening goal against Germany, Altidore ended a scoreless spell for the National Team dating back to Nov. 15, 2011 against Slovenia.
  • Omar Gonzalez and Matt Besler have now paired three times in central defense. In addition to Friday night’s win, they started together in the historic 0-0 draw against Mexico on March 26 and the 4-3 win against Germany in the Centennial Celebration Match. In the Mexico game, Besler became only the second U.S. player in history to start a World Cup qualifier with fewer than two caps.
  • With seven goals in this World Cup Qualifying cycle, Clint Dempsey is now tied with Landon Donovan for the all-time lead in U.S. history with 12 overall. He is the only player to appear in all eight matches of this cycle.
