Innovative Coaching App FREE For New Jersey Soccer Coaches and Soccer Parents

Committed to growing the game and improving the services available to members, New Jersey Youth Soccer (NJYS) has partnered with coaching app MOJO.

New Jersey Youth Soccer announced a partnership today with innovative coaching app MOJO. NJYS coaches and parents will be provided access to the free MOJO app, which features exclusive short-form videos customized to age and skill level with one-touch tools to plan fun and engaging practices.

MOJO partners with soccer clubs and state soccer associations to put premium instructional in the hands of those who need it most. Partners include Alabama Soccer Association, Cal North Youth Soccer Association, Massachusetts Youth Soccer, Nebraska State Soccer, Georgia Soccer, Louisiana Soccer Association, North Carolina Youth Soccer, South Texas Soccer, Tennessee Soccer, as well as New Jersey Youth Soccer.

NJYS coaches can download the free MOJO app on their mobile device and create a profile affiliated with NJ Youth Soccer. Once they create a profile, they will have access to MOJO’s library of content and practice plans personalized to their preferences and their team’s needs.

“MOJO will significantly enhance the experience of our grassroots coaches,” said Rick Meana, NJYS Director of Coaching. “Besides the ease of use and the ability to customize training sessions as needed, what I believe will be most appealing about this app for our grassroots coaches goes beyond the coaching content.” “

“The expert advice of not only top ‘player-centered’ youth coaches but also child development experts, this is what sets MOJO apart from others.”

This partnership comes at a crucial time in youth sports, as COVID-19 has compounded existing challenges for teams and coaches across the country. MOJO hopes to enrich and improve the grassroots soccer experience with easy-to-use technology and world-class educational content developed by top coaches, experts and elite athletes.

“We’re thrilled to work with New Jersey Youth Soccer, helping support the return to play and bringing the magic back to youth sports,” said Reed Shaffner, Co-Founder and COO of MOJO. “MOJO is all about saving time on preparation and planning, and making time on the field more fun and meaningful.”

The new partnership with NJ Youth Soccer reinforces MOJO’s commitment to building strategic relationships with leading youth sports organizations, clubs and teams in the U.S. and around the world.

According to the MOJO website, “Parents are amazing when it comes to youth sports: More than 80% of coaches are parents who volunteer to help out. But fewer than 30% have received any training on the essentials of how to coach.”

The free MOJO app provides everything a coach needs for a season of soccer with one team and one practice per week.

MOJO BELIEVES EVERY KID DESERVES TO PLAY

“MOJO believes in helping to level the playing field between haves and have-nots. MOJO donates its mobile app to coaches working with underprivileged athletes, every time a family buys a MOJO product, we donate one to a family that can’t afford it.”

Coaches can also upgrade to MOJO+ for $19.99, with additional content and features, including unlimited practices per week and the Ask-A-Coach feature for 24-hour access to experienced MOJO coaches.
