U.S. midfielder Graham Zusi has put pen to paper on a contract extension with Sporting Kansas City.
The 26-year-old has seen his stock with the MNT soar since he first took the field during the January camp in 2012. After making his first appearance in the 1-0 win against Venezuela, he scored his first goal four days later to lift the United States to a 1-0 win in Panama. By year's end, he had started the last three World Cup Qualifiers in the semifinal phase.
Zusi has appeared in eight of nine matches in 2013, recording back-to-back assists to Jozy Altidore for his goals in the 4-3 win against Germany and the massive 2-1 win in Jamaica in World Cup Qualifying.
