Germany head coach Silvia Neid has named 23 players for the April 5 meeting with the United States in Offenbach, just outside of Frankfurt. The roster only features minor changes from the squad that faced the USA in the Algarve Cup Final on March 13, 2013, but the Germans were suffering from several injuries/illnesses that day and Frankfurt midfielder Kim Kulig and PSG midfielder Linda Bresonik did not play.

Germany is preparing for this summer's 2013 European Women's Championships, a tournament they have won the past five times, spanning 20 years.

The German players represent eight different clubs including eight players from FFC Frankfurt and seven from VFLWolfsburg. Just two players on the roster are playing outside of Germany, Bresonik at PSG in France and forward Anja Mittag at FC Malmo in Sweden.
