New Jersey Youth Soccer Aims To Provide the Best For Its Kids

One of 55 soccer state associations in the US Youth Soccer world, New Jersey is often a step ahead of the pack — offering a better value than many other youth sport associations.

New Jersey Youth Soccer and MLS’ Philadelphia Union have officially renewed their partnership, with key objectives being the cross-promotional support of programming and community-based efforts.

“New Jersey Youth Soccer is excited to extend our relationship with the Philadelphia Union,” said Evelyn Gill, NJYS President.

“Providing opportunities and benefits to our membership in the southern part of the state is a priority, and this partnership supports that focus.”

Planned initiatives include Union player appearances at various NJYS events, both virtually for the time being and then in person once activities resume outside.

The Union will also support NJYS programming such as Young Olympians and the New Jersey Olympic Development Program (ODP). Further, NJYS members will receive opportunities to attend group outings at Union home matches this season at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania.

“The Philadelphia Union is proud to partner with NJYS as a part of our continued commitment to youth soccer development in the tri-state area,” said David Pettican, Union Youth General Manager.

“Together, we can continue to grow the love of the game and develop and educate both players and coaches.”

At the current time, MLS has suspended its training moratorium through May 15. Once it is deemed safe for a return to training, league decisions will be made regarding schedule updates for the 2020 season.
