Chris Le Elected Trustee of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association

New York Soccer News: Chris has coached the Alleycats since 2013 with a few of his teams advancing to the State Cup finals at Stringham Park

At the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) Annual General Meeting on August 8, Chris Le was elected Trustee of the non-profit organization.

“We welcome Chris to our Board of Directors and look forward to him sharing his ideas crafted from many years as both a player and coach at high levels of the game,” commented ENYYSA President Richard Christiano.

Chris’ father is Vietnamese, his mother is Armenian and he grew up in Virginia, where he played for the Braddock Road Youth Club in Fairfax County.

He mainly competed with the Braddock Road Hawks but also served as a guest player with Annandale United and Chantilly Sabres. On the school side, he studied and played at W.T. Woodson High School and Carnegie Mellon University. In high school, he was a two-year captain, two-year team MVP, three years All-Liberty District Selection as the Cavaliers won the Liberty District championship during his senior season.

Chris has coached the Albany Alleycats.

in the Capital District Youth Soccer League (CDYSL) since 2013 and his teams have often advanced to the State Cup finals at Stringham Park in LaGrange. His team of girls born in 2006 won the State Cup championship in 2018 and ’19, obviously not having a chance to defend their title this year because of the coronavirus. The 2006 girls team also became the first Alleycats team to qualify for the US Youth Soccer National League. His 2003 and 2005 girls teams have won the State Cup championship too. The Niskayuna resident was recently promoted to Director of Coaching for the Alleycats girls program.

All the squads that Chris has coached have been very successful as they have also won the PDA Spring Kickoff, Manhattan Kickoff Classic, NEFC Spring Kickoff, FC Delco Memorial Day Weekend Tournament, and Needham Memorial Day Weekend Tournament.

When Chris is not coaching, he is working as a school psychologist finishing up his dissertation for his PsyD plus he has also served as a licensed mental health counselor. He enjoys spending family time with his wife of five years, Tricia, and 10-month old son Thomas.
