Surf Joins Partner Clubs to Create Opportunities in Lowcountry and South Carolina
Resources are required if clubs want to provide the very best for their youth soccer players, and this goal provides an excellent reason to join a prestigious affiliate program.
Surf Cup Sports is proud to announce an innovative new partnership in Charleston, South Carolina, South Carolina Surf.
Three prominent Lowcountry based clubs, USA Mount Pleasant, NASA and Southside Soccer Club (formerly Coastal Academy) are joining together under the Surf brand to build a regional powerhouse that will create improved experiences and opportunities for all kids in the area.
South Carolina Surf will be led by a joint management team which will be comprised of administrative and coaching leadership from each of the three groups.
Each of the clubs will continue to provide programming and services in their local areas but will now work together towards one common goal of being the ‘Best of the Best.’
As part of the growing Surf Nation program, South Carolina Surf will have access to the Surf Select program – an identification and development program that spans from Hawaii to New York. 2020 Surf Select opportunities for South Carolina Surf players include the Northern Ireland Super Cup, an East Coast Select Camp and a Surf Select team placement in Surf Cup.
“We are committed to offering all benefits of the Surf brand to help drive this success for Charleston and all of South Carolina,” said Brian Enge, CEO Surf Cup Sports.
“USA – Mount Pleasant is proud to be selected by Surf to not only be a leader in the effort to unite the Lowcountry in youth soccer but to improve and increase the opportunities for all of our players,” said Bunky Wichmann, president of USA Mount Pleasant. “The Surf brand is one of the most widely known and respected leaders in youth soccer in the country and we are excited to bring an even higher level of soccer to South Carolina through the Surf Program.”
“The opportunity to bring the Surf brand, mission, tools, and community to our players and families in North Charleston is something really special,’ said Neil Veloso, president of the North Area Soccer Association. “Surf is the most respected and successful youth club in the country and is very much aligned with the mission we have for families in our organization. The unique opportunity to unite the Lowcountry through the Surf Nation program is something NASA is very excited about.”
“Surf is a nationally known brand to affiliate with that has a great reputation. This move will be wonderful for youth soccer in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. The merging of our organizations together will take our programs to the next level and truly make South Carolina Surf an Elite Club,” added Anthony Serpe, president of Southside Soccer Club.
For over 43 years, Surf has pioneered the ‘Best of the Best’ in youth soccer and establishing a high benchmark for player development. With over $7 million in charitable donations, Surf Cup Sports has positively impacted the youth soccer landscape for decades.
