Holden and Wondo were teammates on the Houston Dynamo Reserves
The U.S. roster for the Gold Cup roster is loaded with Texas ties, both through birth and club careers.
The three natives on the roster start with Dallas local Omar Gonzalez, who is joined by Brek Shea (Bryan) and Jose Torres (Longview). Three more players were part of the FC Dallas roster - along with Shea, a young Eddie Johnson made his pro debut here, as well as Clarence Goodson.
Houston hometown boy Stuart Holden also sported the orange of the Houston Dynamo, as did Chris Wondolowski, while Will Bruin is a starting striker for the Dynamo.
