With his start in the 1-1 draw against Stoke City, U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard became on the second player in history to compete in 200 consecutive games in the Premier League. The only other? Former U.S. international Brad Friedel, whose 310 straight matches is an English record.
The duo are linked to another record in England, as they earned back-to-back PFA Goalkeeper Awards in 2003 (Friedel) and 2004 (Howard).
A regular at Everton since 2007, it's hard to believe Howard is already in his 15th professional season after beginning with the MetroStars in 1998.
