After a light morning -- just a pool workout for the field players -- (ok, not so light for the GKs, who did train, of course) and lunch, the U.S. team boarded a bus for the short drive (less than two hours) south to Halmstad, a scenic area on the southwest coast of Sweden known as the "Swedish Riviera."
With all the long trips the U.S. WNT takes, the bus ride went by quickly and the team was settled in time to rest up for dinner and the evening's European Championship games.
The squad will train tomorrow at Orjans Vall Stadium, site of both of the USA's matches in this mini-tournament as well as a venue for next summer's European Women's Championships.
It will be the USA's final training before facing Sweden on June 16, a match you can watch live at 10 a.m. ET on Universal Sports Network and Universalsports.com. The USA's June 18 match against Japan will be tape-delayed on the same outlets at 10 a.m. ET.[/FONT]
