Abby Wambach celebrates a goal in front of her hometown crowd

The first game of the Fan Tribute Tour for the U.S. WNT was certainly memorable. It featured a sold out crowd in Rochester, N.Y, two goals for hometown hero Abby Wambach, eight goals total and some real emotion after the announcement that head coach Pia Sundhage was stepping down. The Swede will coach the USA's next two FFT games against Australia in mid-September and then will return to her native land.

But while Pia winds down what has been a memorable and historic five years at the helm of the U.S. team, which featured two Olympic gold medals and an oh-so-close run at the World Cup title, the U.S. team will be taking the Fan Tribute Tour across the nation this fall.

If you live in or near a city in which one of the games will be staged, or are making plans to travel in, we look forward to seeing you there.

Thanks to the fans of Rochester for yet another memorable game in what has always been a great city for soccer and we'll see you in Los Angeles to take on the Aussies.
