With a pair of goals in the 4-0 win against Heerenveen, Jozy Altidore became the first American to record 30 goals in one year for a club in Europe. The U.S. striker has 23 in league play, and has scored the opening goal for Alkmaar nine times this season. Equally significant has been the variety of ways in which he has scored: off the dribble, headers from set pieces, even a couple free kicks. The young veteran will be carrying loads of confidence into this summer's games with the National Team.
