US Youth Soccer chooses GotSoccer as their official event management and event registration platform provider. Other top US clients include the NBA, MLB, MLS, USL and Disney.
US Youth Soccer (USYS) is the largest youth sport organization in the country with nearly 3 million players. On a mission to provide world-class support and resources, US Youth Soccer has signed a deal to use GotSoccer as their official event management and event registration platform provider.
“We are looking at ways to grow the game and we need to get more kids playing. Working with GotSoccer’s analytics, US Youth Soccer will now be able to look at trends across the country and determine hot spots where soccer under represented,” said US Youth Soccer CEO Skip Gilbert. “The GotSoccer analytics will provide us with insights on where we can grow the game, and we’re we are failing to do the best job — and we can use this information to activate and improve.”
Built from the bottom up, the GotSoccer platform starts with accurate player data and provides sophisticated tools for analytics which include census data. “We provide our clients with powerful tools to help grow the game,” said Gavin Owen-Thomas, GotSoccer president. “Our analytic tools can help you see how many U13 girls there are in a specific area, along with the average education and average levels — this information can be used to increase participation in underserved areas and strategically target growth.”
“Our mission is to make lifelong fans of the game,” said Gilbert who wants people to stay connected to the sport their entire lives. “We want to get back to building the base and growing soccer in America. We also want to cultivate athletes who picked other sports to play soccer.”
“Our goal is to remove barriers for kids to effectively step-out onto the field of play. Working with GotSoccer across the National League allows us the opportunity to offer a single, consistent solution to register players, schedule matches, and track data,” said Gilbert who is concerned with why and when players leave the game.n “We do not want kids to move away from the game. Now we will be able to see how many players quit soccer in different parts of the country, and at what age.”
“Our analytics are really fantastic,” said Owen-Thomas. GotSoccer has four full time mathematicians on staff who translate information into useful data.
GotSoccer already provides management software including the GotSport player registration to 34 US Youth Soccer State Associations and 40 states use GotSoccer’s tournament platform for their State Cup. US Youth Soccer joins many of the top sports organizations in the world including NBA, MLB, MLS, USL, and Disney who use GotSoccer products.
US Youth Soccer will be able to leverage GotSoccer’s all-new GotSport tournament platform, and now allow any USYS State Association to access GotSport for their own state tournaments with no per-team fees.
