  • The U.S. is 13-4-6 against Guatemala. The series started in 1977 with Guatemala hosting and winning all of the first four matches.
  • Since the USA’s 1-0 loss to Guatemala on Jan. 10, 1988, the team has posted a 19-game unbeaten streak (13-0-6).
  • At home, the United States is 11-0-1 against the Chapines, posting nine shutouts.
  • The teams’ most recent meeting came in the final group game of the Semifinal Round of Qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Guatemala led the group going into the match before the U.S. posted a resounding 3-1 victory on Oct. 16, 2012, in Kansas City.
  • Coincidentally, no U.S. player on the roster has scored against Guatemala.
