The U.S. U-17 WNT finished up its third and final day of training here in Lankaran, Azerbaijan on Sept. 21 and will now get a good night's sleep in preparation for a challenging opening match against a talented France team on Sept. 22 at Lankaran Stadium (6 a.m. ET on ESPN3).
The USA had a light training, just an hour, before heading over to the game venue, Lankaran Stadium.

The U.S. team did not get a training on the stadium pitch as it's not in great condition but the players enjoyed a walkthrough, snapping pictures and getting a feel for the venue, which will be pretty much filled to capacity tomorrow night.

This of course will be the first-ever World Cup match for any of these players as the U-17 tournament is the youngest FIFA holds and all 21 players on the U.S. team are looking forward to kicking off the competition.
None of the players have ever played in front of 12,000, but there is much more excitement than trepidation in the U.S. camp. One player even said, "there are that many people coming to see us? Awesome."
