The USA and Germany meet for the second time in four days on the evening of Oct. 23 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn., home to UCONN Football. The first match produced an entertaining 1-1 tie and the second match promises to be just as end-to-end.

The USA held its public training today and once again were well-received by the fans who made the trip out to see the 2012 Olympic champions.

It's a rare treat to see the #1 and #2 ranked women's soccer nations in the world play live and more than 17,000 fans are expected at Rentschler tomorrow.

They will see two of the USA's most productive strikers ever, who have both had a heck of a year.

Alex Morgan (24 goals) and Abby Wambach (22 goals) have combined for 46 goals in 2012 – the second-most goals in a calendar year of any duo in U.S. WNT history. The record is 55 goals in 1991 when Michelle Akers scored a record 39 goals and Carin Jennings tallied 16 goals.
Only four players in U.S. WNT history have scored more than 20 goals in a calendar year, but it has been done five times: Akers (39 in 1991), Tiffeny Milbrett (21 in 1999), Wambach twice (31 goals in 2004, 22 so far in 2012) and Morgan (24 so far in 2012).

The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network with Arlo White and former U.S. WNT defender Kate Markgraf calling the action. U.S. WNT midfielder Megan Rapinoe will do a live interview on the pre-game show.

See you tomorrow....
