Verizon Makes Smart Play Supporting Soccer Coaches
United Soccer Coaches is excited to announce a multi-year partnership with Verizon, making the technology giant the Official Innovation, Wireless Technology, and 5G Partner of United Soccer Coaches.
Understanding the value of soccer coaches and their importance within the soccer community, Verizon and United Soccer Coaches are embarking on a unique grassroots effort to engage with coaches at every level of the game. Since 1941, United Soccer Coaches has represented the best interest of coaches. The trusted and unifying voice, advocate, and partner for coaches at all levels of the game, United Soccer Coaches is the largest community for soccer coaches in the world.

Innovation & Technology at the United Soccer Coaches Convention
The partnership kicked off with Verizon’s activation at the 2020 United Soccer Coaches Convention in Baltimore as the presenting sponsor of the new Innovation Hub. The Innovation Hub, sponsored by Verizon, gave companies the ability to showcase new soccer technology to Convention attendees through product demonstrations and unique branded kiosks. It also allowed for Verizon to showcase its 5G Ultra Wideband network, which is now available in parts of over 30 cities around the country, and how it will impact the sport and our coaches moving forward.
Presenting Sponsor of High School and College Rankings
The United Soccer Coaches Regional and National rankings for college and high school soccer will be sponsored by Verizon. The college rankings program encompasses all levels of the NCAA, both men’s and women’s soccer, as well as the NAIA, NCCAA, and junior college ranks. The high school rankings recognize the nation’s top teams in boys’ and girls’ soccer across the fall, winter, and spring seasons.
Multi-Channel Content Sponsorship
“From the Training Ground”, the weekly educational email toolkit, curated by the United Soccer Coaches Education Department, will also be sponsored by Verizon.
With Verizon’s support “From the Training Ground” will now be featured in the weekly email, in Soccer Journal, social media, and through a featured section in the Online Resource Library.
Verizon’s support of United Soccer Coaches will allow the association to continue its mission of providing programs and services that enhance, encourage, and contribute to the development and recognition of soccer coaches, their players, and the game we love through the pillars of advocacy, education, and service.
