To say this country is ready for the game would be quite the understatement.
More than 40 reporters and cameras camped outside the U.S. team hotel for the arrival just past 8:45 p.m., setting off camera flashes worthy of a red carpet.
In short order, that footage turned into live commentary that on one station lasted for 30 minutes, with details analyzed like players on the roster, the number of bags of equipment we carry and the route from the airport to the hotel.
The coverage is no differnet in the local papers, with photos of the U.S. team arrival gracing the covers and some rather wild speculation on the lineup. They also published specific info on which floor the team is staying on, and a complete (and supposedly private) team schedule.
Yeah, it's gonna be a fun one ...
