[FONT=georgia,palatino]The U.S. U-17 WNT players have been traveling since Sept. 12 and while they are used to being on long trips, and are of course with their "second family" on the national team, when you are a teenager you can certainly miss you friends and family back home quite a bit.
Tonight at dinner, the players were given letters from their friends, family, boyfriends, coaches and others close to them that were covertly sent to the U.S. team's staff and held until today.
The letters from loved ones were creative, touching, heartfelt, inspirational, motivational and emotional.
Suffice to say, there were few dry eyes in the room as the players started to read the missives from home.
