Taking on European competition is an amazing way to test one’s abilities and discover the world, especially when you have the change to play against FC Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, and many more.

The Mediterranean International Cup (MIC) Football Tournament, an annual extravaganza held over Easter, attracted football enthusiasts once again in 2024. Taking place amidst the scenic location of Costa Brava in Spain, the tournament promises five days of intense competition across various age categories, showcasing the talents of young footballers from around the globe.

Taking place from March 26 to March 31, 2024, the MIC Football Tournament hosted nearly 900 games on 46 pitches, providing an unprecedented platform for aspiring football stars to shine. With teams representing 44 countries, the event epitomizes the spirit of international sportsmanship.

  • U15: Atletico de Madrid

Since the beginning, the MIC tournament has been supported by famous soccer people like Pep Guardiola, Luis Felipe Scolari, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and many more. Some past participants of the MIC have already made their debut with first-division clubs like Leo Messi (FC Barcelona), Cesc Fàbregas (Arsenal FC), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Neymar Jr (Barcelona), and Marcelo (Real Madrid CF). All the finals of the MIC are broadcasted by National TV Channels all over Spain attracting the attention of several Clubs and decision makers.

The Mediterranean International Cup has been around for more than 20 years. The Heart of the MIC tournament is the stadium of Palamós which is located at the northern end of a large bay popular for swimming, sailing, and windsurfing. Only a short 70 miles from Barcelona, this tournament is recognized as one of the most competitive Spring tournaments in Europe.

In the upcoming edition, the tournament will feature an array of esteemed clubs including Benfica, Sevilla, Liverpool, and Paris St. Germain, adding an extra layer of competitiveness to the proceedings. With age categories ranging from Boys 11v11 to Girls 11v11, the tournament caters to a diverse spectrum of young football enthusiasts, fostering inclusivity and diversity on the field.

The MIC Cup 2024 culminated in a display of skill and determination as teams fought for the title in their respective categories.

The next MIC Tournament is planned for April 16-20, 2025.

Famous international soccer clubs like Benfica (Portugal), Porto (Portugal), Sporting (Portugal), Sevilla (Spain), Valencia (Spain), Ferencvaros (Hungary), Liverpool (England), Paris St. Germain (France) and Vasco de Gama (Brazil) Zenit (Russia) will participate.

Age categories 2025:

  • Boys 11v11 – born after January 1, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013
  • Boys 7v7 – born after January 1, 2013
  • Girls 11v11 – born after January 1, 2006
