Panama advanced to the knockout phase for the fifth time in six all-time appearances in the Gold Cup. The Marea Roja has conceded one goal or less in seven consecutive Gold Cup matches, including two straight shutouts, and are unbeaten in seven of its last eight Gold Cup games.
