It was a beautiful day in Baku for U.S. training

The U.S.U-17 WNT trained in the morning on Monday, going very light on the day before the squad squares off against Gambia in its second Group B match. The game can be watched at 8 a.m. on the morning of Sept. 25 online on ESPN3 and followed on ussoccer.com's MatchTracker and on Twitter at ussoccer_ynt.

The USA trained on an excellent artificial turf field as the next two matches will be on the fake stuff.

Jane Campbell practices some goal kicks. Yes, she has long legs.

The USA's group has taken a rare and interesting twist after the first match day with the USA and France playing to a scoreless draw while North Korea poured in 11 goals on Gambia.

Rarely -- if ever -- has a team been that far ahead on goal difference after the first match. The USA will know the result of North Korea vs. France before it kicks off its match as the first Group B game of the day will be held before the USA's match at the 3,000-seat Dalga Arena.

Today at training, the U.S. team just did an extended warm-up, worked on some set plays and had some time on their own before packing it up for the rest day, which consisted of several team meetings and two great meals at the team hotel.

The USA's match against Gambia will be the first-ever against the African country at any level for the U.S. Women's National Teams.
